This is a place to learn about Junie B and her friends, (and her enemies) and the books.

Junie B. Jones is a children's book series written by Barbara Park and illustrated by Denise Brunkus. Published by Random House from 1992-2013, the stories begin with Junie B. Jones and the Stupid Smelly Bus, in which Junie B. is an "almost six year old" starting her first day of kindergarten.

Since the original book was published by Random House in 1992, thirty-three other Junie B. Jones books have been published. Twenty-eight books belong to the Junie B. Jones Series and there is also a Junie B. Jones Journal. The Junie B. Jones series has also been translated into Spanish and French.

Did You Know?

♥ Junie B. refers to herself as an "almost six-year old" starting with book one, which takes place in September. However, because her birthday is in June (already three months past), she is nowhere near being six years old.

♥ In the first book, Junie B. says that she can't remember the last name of her kindergarten teacher, while throughout the rest of the books, she says that she simply refers saying her name without it.

♥ The last name of Junie B.'s kindergarten teacher is never mentioned or learned. This is because she lets Junie B. call her Mrs., the other kids refer to her as "Teacher", and none of the other adults bring up her actual name.

♥ Junie B. misspells and mispronounces many words, including frustrated/frustration (fusstrated/fusstration), spaghetti (pasketti), triangles (tangles or triankles), as well as calling a zucchini "Sue Keeny" and a Cadillac "Cattle Act".

♥ Junie B. received two zeros (F's) in the book Junie B Jones: Cheater Pants. One was for getting caught cheating off her neighbor's homework paper, and one was for cheating off Herb's spelling test (this gave Herb a zero on his test as well because he admits he let Junie B. copy off of him).
