Juniper Beatrice Jones (or Junie B for short) is the titular protagonist of the series. She is the oldest child and only daughter of Susan Jones (née Miller) and Robert Jones. She has a brother named Ollie who is five years younger than her. Her grandparents Helen and Frank Miller are in her life as well. She attends Clarence Somebody or other Elementary School as the stories take place when she was in kindergarten and first grade.
Personality[]
Junie B is definitely all over the place. She is funny, yet sometimes it can get out of control and can be disruptive while at school. She is always up to something. She has a wild imagination though.
Physical Appearance[]
Junie B has frizzy and unkempt brown strands of shoulder-length hair with blue-green eyes. In kindergarten, she always had bows in her hair and would always wear wacky outfits. In first grade was when she started to wear her purple glasses and her outfits weren't as wacky.
Relationships With Family[]
Susan- her mother, when Junie B is getting into her crazy happenings she tends to get a bit cranky while disciplining her. From Junie B's perspective it is called yelling. Maybe she's not yelling, maybe she's just talking to her in a serious tone like a mother would to her children.
Robert- her father, he tends to be just as much strict as her mom maybe less. As we can see in Junie B. Jones is a Beauty Shop Guy he explains to Junie B things but he seems a bit cranky.
Tickle- Junie B.'s pet dog that has a lot of fur but his dog breed is unknown.
Helen- maternal grandmother, sometimes Junie B calls her by her real name, Helen and she doesn't like that.
Frank- maternal grandfather, he and Junie B tend to have fun together as well as he spoils her.
Baby Ollie- her younger brother, she loves him dearly but they seem to have a sibling rivalry. Like most siblings!
Aunt Flo- maternal aunt, in Junie B. Jones Is (Almost) a Flower Girl she made Junie B the alternate flower girl since Bo was already asked to be flower girl.
Uncle Joe- maternal uncle, married her aunt in Junie B. Jones Is (Almost) a Flower Girl
Bo- her cousin
Relationships With Friends[]
Herb- best friend, possible crush. They ride the bus together in the first grade series. In Junie B., First Grader (at last!) Herb is new to the school and Junie B saw that Grace decided not to sit with her anymore, he heard the commotion between the girls and he laughed. Junie B heard Herb laughing at her and she talked to him and he sits with her and that was the start of this friendship. She also states that she has a bit of a crush on him in Junie B. Jones Top Secret Personal Beeswax.
Lennie- friend in her group, she befriended Lennie beginning of first grade
Jose- friend in her group, she befriended Jose beginning of first grade.
Lucille- former best friend, they were best friends in kindergarten. Lucille was sometimes mad at Junie B. when she was trying to spy on her. In first grade, Lucille became friends with the twins, Camille and Chenille. Whenever Lucille had a party at her house and invited the whole class, Junie B would go as seen in Junie B., First Grader: Dumb Bunny.
Grace- former best friend in kindergarten, they rode the bus together. In first grade, Grace was enrolled in a different classroom than Junie B.That first week, Grace was sitting next to Bobbi Jean Piper, so they don't talk to each other anymore in first grade again. However in Junie B. Jones Top Secret Personal Beeswax Junie B claims she misses having Grace as a friend.
Sheldon- sorta a friend
Shirley- friend. Junie B mentions in Essential Guide to School that she and Shirley like going to the bathroom together
Relationships with Enemies[]
May- she sits next to Junie B in class. Both girls are constantly fighting and alot of times this seems to be May's fault as seen in Junie B., First Grader: Jingle Bells, Batman Smells! (P.S. So Does May) she snooped in her journal.
Jim- he was the kid who picked on her in kindergarten but it was revealed in Junie B. Jones and the Mushy Gushy Valentime that he was mean because he had a crush on her and he bullies her to hide that.
Paulie Allen Puffer- he is always teasing Junie B with scary stories such as telling her she has a monster under her bed in Junie B. Jones Has a Monster Under Her Bed and as well as in Junie B., First Grader:BOO! And I Mean It! he told her he five scary secrets of Halloween.
William- he is the boy that was in her class in kindergarten who she would always antagonize. Junie B is always pushing him around and stealing things from him such as in Junie B. Jones and That Meanie Jim's Birthday she stole his invitation.
Thelma- she was the girl who stole her boyfriend
Bobbi Jean- in Junie B., First Grader (at last!) she sat with Grace on the bus
